TWINTZS Introduction

I purchased my Z April 2002, it has been a dream of mine since high school to own one. Well, I refinanced my house and came into a little extra cash. So, off I went looking for a Twin Turbo Z. I purchased mine from some a local dealer, I was so excited that I purchased it even though it had a rough idle and didn't sound right. I figured it just need a good tune up, so after I purchased I took it to the dealer to have a diagnostic done on it. The dealer came back and said it would cost me over to fix because of a bad motor, smoking turbos, the suspension was shot, and it failed emissions.

Obviously, I was total dumbfounded. But, it was after this I came across twinturbo.net the guys on the forum are awesome. They suggested that I change the fuel injectors and give it a good tune up. Even better they had technical and do it yourself instructions. I did it and it fixed everything. This was also the time in which I learned that the parts on the Z are outrageously expensive. So, moral of the story don't always trust what the dealer says.

Planned Upgrades

Are you ever really done with the Z? Well, anyone that owns one will tell you "NO". I plan on installing an aquamist injection, j-spec tail lights, sport 500 turbos, 555 fuel injectors, HKS BOV, Carbing strut bars, HKS Twin Ignition, and Stop Tech Big Brakes. I can not say enough about this forum. If you own a Z, you need to become a member. There is a wealth of information including, technical tips, FAQ's, and DIY step by step procedures. If you can't find help, just post your question. Just be sure to search before you ask, otherwise you're going to get flamed. This forum has definitely brought me closer and more intimate with TWINTZS. If you love your Z, then get on the forum. I have yet to find a forum for any model car as great as TwinTurbo.Net.
